Which HIV Test is Right For Me?

Picking up the right HIV test is important. If you're not sure which test to pick, don't hesitate asking about it at the test center. However, here are the few things which we believe you should know before you visit the test center.

If you've recently had a sex with your partner and you believe that you may have got the HIV infection, you can take the HIV RNA Test to know your status.

The HIV RNA Test can detect the HIV infection after 9-11 days of exposure. This is the only test available which can detect the infection at an early stage.

​If its been more than 2 months you had the sex, you can go for HIV antibody test. The antibody test looks for antibodies that our our body produce to fight against the HIV virus. When the virus enters into our body, our body starts producing these antibodies to fight with the virus. It takes at least 2 months for our body to produce enough antibodies that can be detected using the test.

It has also been seen that people do get more than one sexually transmitted diseases at a time. Our doctors recommend to take the STD panel test because it is the most comprehensive STD testing package that tests for the most common sexually transmitted diseases including the HIV.

Remember, our panel test don't include the HIV RNA Test. It only has the HIV antibody test along with nine other tests.
